About The Artwork
I'm a professor of Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw. Since 2001 I run an degree-awarding studio at the faculty of sculpture. "The works of Janusz Pastwa contain a philosophical poem. The themes that are interwoven there are reflections on time and space,on transience,as well as self-reflexive ones: on the material and its nature, and the tradition and boundaries of sculpture. There is something in them that makes us think about the intermediate stat between matter and form,mentioned by Schiller" Piotr Szubert , art critic.

I was born on 26 January 1944 in Brzóza, Poland. The subject of my work is the inner space of a human. Since 2000 I make art focused on animals. I think I found my own language in art and an original style and form.
