Subject No. II The second in my new series of pastel drawings made in 2019. In this series, each work represents my preoccupation with my own thoughts and emotions revolving around a single, specific person. I refer to them as a place for visual thinking and feeling. While creating I am not driven by drawing a reproduction of a real thing or person, but the impression that someone left, a feeling that one caused. Pictures of emotions happen to pop in front of my eyes, as simple as it is. The one thing they all share is the raw sentiment I developed for the one, capturing the strongest one in the moment of recognizing it. They are always genuine, initial, drawn as they are. I don't correct them. If there is a need for correction, then the idea it self is not right. Setting the base of the drawing is always from one stroke or breath, since anything longer than that would demand additional thinking which would suffocate a fresh thought or a feeling. The entire series is made up of honest statements, uninfluenced by alien judgement, suggestions and opinions both in a technical and ideological sense.
