About The Artwork

Gilda is a member of the cave fairy tribes, which were rumoured to be extinct by other fairy cultures after the Toll ridge wars. But they actually were trapped underground evolving to become a separate subspecies of fairy, adjusting their eyes to the darkness and developing a unique interdependent relationship with bats. Gilda comes from a long line of miners, it was during one such mining trip that a cave in occurred pinning her wings to the ground, to save her life they were amputated, she then used gold, gems and her skills to create prosthetic wings finding a cluster of rare yellow diamonds she discovers a strange light coming from deeper in the cave...
