Art Description

Drawing: Oil, Pastel on Paper.

Oil Pastel on archival 150g grey paper.
52 x 91 cm (20.4 x 35.8 inches)

One in a series of three drawings from a group of work which reflects on the duality of the balloon as a symbol for romantic flight as well as a powerful tool of displacement. A gore is a panel, a segment of a hot air balloon envelope, the shape was produced in a group of six to represent a full canopy pattern.

Acid free tape is on the corners of the backside of the paper.
Original ships in a tube from Hamburg.
