ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Cellular structures have long been a point of enquiry within my work. I typically use shapes influenced by ovals, circles, and organic, unicellular organisms and seed pods. Juxtaposing these shapes into abstract backgrounds,I give the feeling of floating atmospheres and microcosmic fields. This sketch uses painting, drawing and collage techniques in combination. I hope to create a feeling of uplifting levity within this piece with the choices of gold and bronze colors, mixed with the pops of teal and white.
