Hello and welcome to Joanna Maria Dziedzianowicz DRAWINGS,

 Joanna Maria is a very talented artist who is interested in 3D dimensional drawings of the human body. She marks the shapes and shadows of a human silhouette that contrasts with a plain linear background. Her drawings are sometimes slightly suggesting that there are other objects in the background but they are not as important as the human body on the first plan. The artist is mainly focusing on facial expression and how to capture a variety of body shapes. The series of 100 A4 drawings was made during nude posing sessions in Glasgow between the years 2023 and 2024. To create these fabulous drawings, full of depth and contrast, the artist is using professional Fabriano Artistic Paper 200g/m2 and B-6B pencil or HB-9 graphite. 

All artworks are signed in front (jmd) and dated on the back (Glasgow 2023, Joanna Maria Dziedzianowicz, number of series). Each drawing contains Passe-partout paper and a black frame to prevent transport-related damages. Joanna Maria was born in Warsaw, Poland and studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, Portugal. Currently, she is based in Glasgow, UK where she works in her studio. As an artist, she values portraits more than landscape or abstract art.
