Watercolor of the exhibition “Ingrávidos y peregrinos” (“Weightless and pilgrims”), 1993. It’s inspired by the first gulf war, 1991. That was the first war that was direct transmitted on TV. We were Witnesses of the people were dying, on real time. The victim we saw on TV, they made the sensation, because what we sow they were only images, that it was more around the idea of soul than of a really experience to meet a really person. The victims were flying over our heads and mind, on their way to beyond. “Ingrávidos y peregrinos is the interaction of two elements: the people that flying over the landscape and those landscape as a background. This background is refereed of aerial photos of the desert of Kuwait in the war. The desert was black because was covered of an ashes from the burning of the oil wells. Over the desert drove along all type of vehicles, they’re wheels were doing clear marks in the sand. When you have a view from above you can see like a drawings on the desert, they are the backgrounds
