Kiara, the eldest daughter of chief Yarra of the falling-water fairies. Secretive and mysterious, these fairies are found darting around waterfalls with dragonflies in New Zealand. Their culture is very distant from other fairy tribes, due to conflicts from the past, they traditionally have thriving cities built into the rock-face, behind the falls. Kiara is unusually bold compared to her family, curious and eager to see beyond the watery curtain...
