About The Artwork
This piece showcases mixed media technique with pastel as the primary component. It loosely portrays the human connection to earth and sky and the composite nature of every human being. Teresa Vazquez is an artist, writer, educator and Dream Midwife. Her dreamwork largely informs her artwork, which in turn fuels her dreaming practice. She has an MFA in Studio Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BA in Creative Writing from Oberlin College. She is the former Community Programs Manager and Painting & Drawing Instructor at the Indianapolis Art Center. Teresa is a mother, grandmother, first-generation Cuban immigrant, loving-kindness meditator, leftie, and a nature loving, ancestor-revering, earth-honoring person.
