About The Artwork
Copy of Vermeer's La fillette de la perle, a simple and inspiring painting that I have transformed and interpreted in pencil on cardboard. It is from 1983, the beginning of my hobby as a painter. It just wants to convey the same peace as the original but without color. Solitary figure that transmits strength supported by the chiaroscuro. It is a very static scene, but the dynamism is contained in the figure of the woman.
