Who is to judge the repulsiveness of a creature? Lady Earwig has put on her little leather dress and her heels to ready herself for the dance. She is decked out in a rich burgundy highlighted by a twinkling sky blue accent. Her forceps are raised high, and sparkling with orange blue and green. She is attending a fundraiser to prevent the Insect Apocalypse. Let us hope that she is successful because we all know that once the little creatures are gone the big ones will soon follow.

I am an artist living in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Nature is the source for all of this work. The bug drawings come from my walks in the local neighbourhood. The word 'bug' means to irritate. I choose creatures that are feared and overlooked as subjects. The bugs come from the micro world while the earth images I draw, such as the volcano, live in the macro world. I hope show that the details of a wasp are no different than the details of Mount Everest. The paintings are the result of hours of sitting on hard rocks covered in goose poop staring at the Ottawa River trying to capture each rapid strokes of water passing.
