About The Artwork
Unique carpet – created by hand tufting technique. Inspiration for this work were "Indians and Cowboys" seen in a context of pop culture, such as comics or Western movies. The reasons for that kind of inspiration I saw in my intention to design a carpet which will be used in children's room. I see the carpet, in this context, as a playground which has the role to motivate children to play. The game starts with inventing stories about "brave Mohican and white man" which are based on the drawing on the carpet. It is a story which each child can develop in any way he or she wants. Materials used for this carpet are natural wool and cotton fabric.
