"Looking Out" Drawing

My name is Alexandra, I am a 27 year old artist born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. When I was 8 years old my art teacher had us learn how to draw portraits and that was the beginning for my love to create. I have always loved a challenge and finding ways to expand myself and what better way I felt at the time than portraits.
My childhood was heavy and I wasn’t given the chance to fully be a child. I dealt with depression and had an unhealthy mental health. I used drawing and art as an outlet to escape the pain of my reality. I love the human face and have always found it so beautiful how the eyes come together with the nose and lips to create something so magnificent. Finding the beauty in life in any way I can.

This art collection “The Preface” is a collection of my artwork from 2019-2024. Within those five years I got to expand and explore myself through my creative endeavors. It’s a journey of extreme depression to then becoming a full time artist—- tattooing and painting—-living what i thought was the dream, to come back lost again to then discover a deeper layer of who I am. This was a necessary part of my story to be where I am at now, but it’s now time for me to close that chapter to enter in a new life with new creations from a depth I’ve never reached within myself. To make space for the new I am selling all of the original pieces from the “The Preface” collection. The next chapter of my life I am going on a nomadic adventure across Europe creating my debut album along the journey. Vocally, musically, and visually. Gratitude to whomever supports me on this next stage of my life by collecting my art.
