Drawing, Linocuts on Paper
Size: 6.1 W x 8.1 H x 0.1 D in
Ships in a Tube
The plot of this linocut was born in the Tretyakov Gallery. When I came there again, I met a lovely couple. Together with this couple we went from hall to hall. They were a young guy and a girl, the guy was so fascinated by the girl that he followed her everywhere. Such lightness and gaiety emanated from these guys, most likely, they met for the first time and fell in love at first sight. I made some quick sketches from nature and later transferred the image to linocut format. This linocut reflects a great pure feeling - love, which is why I depicted a couple in love in the center of the picture. The work is done on high quality glossy paper. Paper size 30 * 21 Image size 15.5 * 20.5

Anastasia studied in Krasnodar art Academy (Institute of culture now). She graduated at prof. V.Papko’s workshop in 2011. During her study, Anastasia was always interested in graphics. Even her paintings were made in graphic way. When Anastasia was 3rd year student, she seriously started to create her own style in university printshop with linocuts and ink graphic. She liked how it was effectively to draw with black ink on white paper. After university Anastasia lived during 1 year in Istanbul. She really liked bright culture, ornaments and authenticity of east culture. When she came back to her homeland her art has become more decorative. She included the pieces of oriental carpet ornaments with bright colors into her still-lifes.
