"Male friendship" Drawing

The work is part of the "Boys" series about the Soviet and post-Soviet leisure of young people. The series of graphics "Boys". I myself was born in 1989, as a child I and my peers grew up on the ruins of the empire - all sorts of unfinished buildings, abandoned industrial facilities, and the playgrounds themselves are not very different from these ruins. And in some parts of the former empire, and there was fighting. For my work I used the found photo chronicles of those times, as well as materials that idealized the leisure of a Soviet child. I also remember that many adult men at that time lost their jobs, their social status, and, in fact, became boys again for their mothers and wives.
