Man Holding Foot Lateral Drawing

A drawing completed during a life drawing session at George Brown College in Toronto Canada. I am constantly told that I must complete the whole figure. I understand the importance in doing so, but I like leaving the pointless details out of the composition. I like focusing on specific areas I think are eye catching, like the subjects arm and upper torso. February 14th, 2017 18" x 24" Male I mostly leave the faces out of all my compositions, I feel faces take away from what I want to showcase. The body is so much more fascinating. I am stubborn. I am hard headed. The drawing is completed using charcoal on newsprint. Once the drawing was complete a final fixative was sprayed over the sketch to prevent further smudging. I like minimalism, I like being straight to the point.
