Mental central dialogue (on exhibition until Sep.1) Drawing

Important: the work comes unframed and unmatted. The drawing was made as a response was made as a response to a song and hence is the title. When working on this piece I was trying not to think about anything and to let my subconscious materialize itself on the paper instead. This drawing shows various parts of a human being interacting, communicating, having a conversation. The biggest figure, the head on the right, is facing its reflection, its soul that it breaths out of its own mouth, while the other creatures are observing it, trying to say something (or may be alert about something). The figure on the right is raising its hand in what may seem at first to be a salutation, but when one looks at it longer, it can be read as a signaling, warning gesture. The angel-like figure on the top right does not have a mouth and is just an observer who’s just witnessing the figures below. The composition is finalized with two snakes and two apple trees which are referencing the Biblical Tree of Knowledge and symbolize choices people are facing every moment of their lives. The patterns on the sides of the drawing consist of little cubes that are like pieces of puzzle, trying to arrange into a shape, forming a whole out of disconnected bits.
