hens runhaar was born 26-07-1945 in the netherlands. Obsessed with painting, got a M.A. in Art and history of Art. As well formerly in the eighties as now committed to social and political issues. Won previously the bronze medal of the city of Brussels taking part in the exhibition "les Arts en Europe".Recently I make paintings, sometimes very large in which I "blow up" parts of a face, like an eye, too isolate the emotions of pain and sorrow. In this way I try to make that feelings universal. I hope that my paintings reach the feelings everyone knows. Trying to make people aware of the reality. Just finished a serie of paintings called "not my world", about fugitives from Syrië.
