About The Artwork
I am fascinated by abandoned buildings and children's playgrounds, mysterious stairways, and the perspective created by disappearing telephone poles or tiles on a floor or anything going into a distance. Exploring narrative and the fact that everyone has a story to tell is interesting. In this case my sister has lost her only son. In this drawing he is represented by a cactus protected by a glass dome. Sleeping beauty? Close but yet so far ?
