About The Artwork

Mystical Dragonfly, Abstract Drawing has significant meaning to my Native American routes. I was taught they are a sign of strength through difficulties. They validate the great love you need to get through some of the toughest changes, times in your life. My inspiration lies in an experience I had related to my Late Mother who gifted my with a dragonfly pin and suggested I make dragonflies. She and I both loved them. However, after she passed, on her birthday as I was doing artwork on my porch, a dragonfly approached me, Then another, and yet another. Suddenly within minutes I literally was surrounded by thousands of Dragonflies. They touched my face, my hands, my being, my spirit. They were large and I was in heaven. One might say that yes this happens, they gather. However the timing of it was on my late Mom's birthday and she had gifted me with a Dragonfly pin and I was and do miss her greatly. Timing, significance, occurrence, all of it tells us there is so much more to our world! The Mystical Dragonfly is one example of it. This Mystical Dragonfly I made for you has Native American designs within it, such as symbols for night and day (circles within the wing) the sun, It has the Buddhist symbol of OM (creation), and universal symbols of Peace, the Doves, for Love, the Hearts. Pencil, Art Paper. No frame, no hooks. Signed front & back.
