Art Description

Drawing: watercolor on Paper.

"Only fires and fights bloom in Edo," says the Japanese proverb, which is not the most pleasant for today's metropolitan residents. In the densely built-up wooden houses of the old city of Edo (now Tokyo), the terrible flowers of the fires really blossomed quite often. Too well was familiar to the townspeople and ash-gray of the fires. Trying once again to not call on trouble, Edoko (residents of Edo) by common efforts even expelled from their lexicon the very word "ash gray", hai-iro, replacing it with the less sinister nedzumi-iro, letters. "Mouse color".
