About The Artwork
The moody nocturnes of October mixed with days of alternating summer and autumn seem to whirl about each other. It suggests sweeping calligraphic motion, hues of tarns and lichens and mustiness-clumps of leaves turning, scuffing about while tendrils of vines shrivel. One might, possibly, look at this like tilting a mirror against the four seasons. Blessedly the mirror reflects more than one dimensionality at a time. Here are multitudinous textures I saw and felt in October of 2010. I recommend float mounting to leave the foxed edges of the paper visible along with the pin holes. The holes are from the push pins that I used to hold the paper to the wall in my studio as I worked on it while looking out on the changes in the weather. Sprayed with transparent matte archival fixative.
