About The Artwork

For years I was lost. I had no idea how to relate to people, and my family didn’t know how to fix what they had broken, so they waited for me to fail so bad they could take over. Tossed between manic fear and frustration, and convinced the rest of the world was a cruel place. I was unable to understand, appreciate or relate to the friends I had. I had no frame of reference to relate to the world around me just a deep conviction that something was wrong with their world and I wasn’t going to accept it even if it meant being ostracized from my family and the world. Thankfully I eventually found the world to be a kinder place than I was taught. I was lucky, frankly there are many points where I am not entirely sure how I came through. There are millions suffering like this all around us, every day, who aren’t as fortunate as I was to find some semblance of Community and compassion. The church I was raised in destroys children claiming that they will rebuild them better, but they really just make more hateful people or drive them from the church. The “war” on religion is actually the church hurting its own children. It’s the church vs itself… They don’t listen to the sermons of Jesus, and they teach kindness as a weakness. They cut off their own feet, thinking it will make them run faster…

I work in pen, pastels, watercolors, acrylic, and oils. I paint landscapes and absurd/surreal work that flows in and out of an angular impression of the idea or scene. I work from memory a lot. I take a minimal impression of a scene, painted from memory and embedded with an impression of myself Or my thoughts within that moment. Sometimes sublime and beautiful, sometimes absurd. I will NEVER use A.I. for any part of the creation of my work. For me art is the sacred altar where I pray, I will never desecrate that altar with A.I.
