Organic Studies 001 Drawing

I work because I’m told to. I tell it to myself, voices give me orders, nightmares are begging to become dreams. And they come back again and again, very imperfect but aiming for harmony. Beauty is somewhere within the darkness. A nightmare is an adventure, and my colours are the guns. I use them in order not to fear. The subject matter is bravery and obsession. And human fragility. The work is about metamorphosis. Life is constant change, as scary that might be. With no mercy, destruction meets creation, creation meets destruction. Quite honestly, the images find me, and not the other way around. I find zen within the darkness, and I repeat my methods of painting and sewing until the full anatomy of change is discovered. I use lines and brushes, colours, scissors and my bare skin. I don’t know where I’m going to, but the trip must excite me. I want people to fear my work, as much as I want them to be brave enough to appreciate it.
