About The Artwork
I painted this gorgeous Otter from a photo I took at the zoo using oil pastel/pencils. I used the black of the paper as the underlying shadows and base layer, giving depth to the fur. I love this pose as he is standing up looking straight at you with so much cuteness, he was posing for this photo with his paw on the glass which was adorable. I added a lot of texture to the fur and used the direction of the fur to give shape and form, there is light within his eyes which also adds shape. The eyes are blended smoothly and contrast against the texturing of the fur. Size H12" x W16" x D = 160gsm paper/card
