About The Artwork

This drawing is a commentary on how the female body is perceived in today's society. If a woman is overweight, she is seen as lazy, glutenous, sleeps-all-of-the time, good-for-nothing. If she has curves, she is seen as a sex object, where people focus on her body, and not her mind (as seen by the head proportionately smaller than the body on the woman on the right.) Every woman is beautiful in her own way, do not forget that!

I am a young aspiring artist. I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and Psychology. A lot of my work deals with psychological issues, or depictions of my personal perceptions of them. Some come from direct personal experience, other by second hand experiences with such illnesses. It is my hope that my work will get others to think, expand minds, and encourage others to express their life's experiences in their art as well. I hope my art can be a great addition to your collection!
