POV: (4) Drawing

This piece is the fourth part of a four-piece series titled "POV:". This series combines my love for modern social media trends and an introspective view of my emotional being and identity. The perspective used in this piece is 0.5x which is inspired by the online trend of taking pictures and videos of oneself with 0.5x perspective turned on, creating a funny distorted image. In this black and white portrait, I ponder and consider my “neutral” state of being, not impacted by my excessive emotional mood swings. I’m seen sitting at my desk, with a keyboard in front of me, and my room behind me. I spend a lot of my day sitting at my desk and working or relaxing on my computer, so it’s definitely become a concrete part of my routine and being as well. In these pieces, I use 0.5x perspective to create a more personal relationship with the viewer, as if I’m giving them a view into my life and my brain.
