About The Artwork

This work is part of the "Pebbles" pattern collection. As part of the collection, there are different colour versions of "pebbles", the arrangement of which reminds me of a mandala. The drawing is made on white A3 paper, 250 g/m2. I used markers (promakers) and fineliner. The frame in which the work is presented is for example only. Additional artworks in the last photo are also available for purchase. Please note that the colours in the photos may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

I am a versatile person in daily life and the same applies to my approach to art. I explore different techniques, diverse materials and subjects but my favourite theme is nature, mainly flowers. I also love geometric abstractions. For me, creating is a constant passion, pleasure and fun. When creating, I feel like a child on a playground who is interested in all toys and cannot play with just one. “Herstein paints botanical imagery and floral elements that remind us of the flamboyant linearism of Art Nouveau (…) and the formal stylization and synthetic colourism typical of computer graphic designers. This artist’s world shows vibrant historical and artistic roots but keeps pace with the latest developments of contemporary art research. (…) Her flowers seem living, almost carnal creatures and convey a sense of vitality and of femininity.” - Elena Di Raddo, art critic and historian, Specula exhibition.
