About The Artwork
In this particular wildlife drawing, I wanted to portray the beauty of such animal and raise awareness on it. With the simple act of yawning, these creatures do not seem as dangerous and ruthless as some may think. This original drawing was made on a high-quality paper, using soft pastels. There's a border of 1cm, but it's not counted in the drawing actual size. It's unframed, and will be sent flat in a sturdy cardboard box. 10% of the whole price will be donated to David Shepherd Wildlife Fundation, to support their works for wildlife conservation.

Magali Lapeyre-Mirande is a self-taught French artist living near Bordeaux. After working for many years exclusively on portraits, she began to combine her passion for nature and animals with that for art. With her realistic style, she starts from a blank sheet of paper and works only in black and white using graphite and carbon pencils. She pays particular attention to conveying the emotions and qualities of the animal world in order to capture the attention for a longer period of time and thus raise awareness on the subject of the preservation of life in all its forms.
