As an artist, there's something about the challenge of creating a hyperrealistic artwork that's both intimidating and exhilarating. So when I set out to create this artwork, I knew I was in for a ‘wild’ ride. (I didn’t plan to make a reference to the wild artwork here its just a wonderful coincidence) The techniques I used to create this piece were both time-consuming and rewarding. Starting with a light sketch to map out the folds and creases of the crumpled card, I then slowly built up the layers of colour to create a three-dimensional effect that makes the card look like it's popping off the page. One of the most difficult parts of this process was getting the texture of the card just right. With a crumpled object, the texture can be so complex, and it takes a lot of patience and precision to capture it accurately. But as much as I enjoyed the technical aspects of creating this artwork, there's also a deeper meaning behind it. To me, the Reverse card represents the unexpected twists and turns that life throws at us. Just when we think we have the game figured out, the rules change, and suddenly we're headed in the opposite direction. But just like the card, we can choose to embrace these reversals and use them to our advantage to grow into better and stronger people. And let's not forget the viral meme that inspired this artwork. I couldn't resist adding a little humour to this piece with a reference to the meme that's been taking over social media. Whether you're a fan of the game or just love a good meme, I hope this artwork brings a smile to your face.

Hello! I'm Kabir, an emerging hyperrealist artist based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. My artistic journey over the past year has been deeply rooted in the nuanced shades and textures that colored pencils bring to life. My dedication to hyperrealism is more than a display of meticulous technique; it is a passion that captures the essence of my subjects with striking clarity. Having received the prestigious Top in Country award for Art & Design in 2021, my resolve is to continuously refine my skills and knowledge. I am on a path toward earning a Bachelor's and Master's in Fine Art, which I believe will further expand my horizons and enhance my craft. Art is a relentless quest for growth and perfection, and I am committed to embracing the challenges that come with it. I welcome feedback and constructive criticism, as they are invaluable to my artistic development. I believe that every piece of art is a conversation, and I am eager to engage with fellow art enthusiasts and critics alike.
