Road at night Drawing

Hello everyone ! My name is Clément Bry and i'm a 27 years old artist. As you can see and will see in the future, i like to draw in black and white and shades of grey. It's not that i don't like colors, but i like the textures and the values that provides the black and white. I also manly draws compositions and landscapes, in a A3 format. The gear that i've been using for years is very simple : paper and pencils. I like to have a small book and a pencil so i can sketch a place quickly and transcribe it later on a bigger format. A simple gear, that i combine with my simple style of composition and framing an image. I like to use the contrast and have different areas of lights and shadows to create a depths impression. I also use the grain of the different paper that i use. I draw both places that i have seen, and places that i have imagined. But i always start with a sketch so in both situations, i use my memory and my imagination. The other that is very recurring in my compostions is that there is a road or a way almost all the time. As much as it help to give this depths impression, it's also there to indicate that there is something else of the frame, that this is just a small portion of a place. I'm not really a traveler, but i want the people to travel, even if it's an ordinary place. I hope that you will enjoy my artworks, and if you don't, have a great day !
