Drawing: Graphite, Pencil on Paper.
It is through the appropriation of the notion of traces & all its definitions, such as those left by nature or past events, (including shadows, souvenirs, or remains) that my work questions the ephemeral nature of things and beings, using different mediums like photography, drawing or painting.
It is essentially the distance with the referent that creates what I call an in-between.
This place, where resonances of memories are summoned and where anyone can project themselves in their own way, is what I seek to bring to light.
Foliage, flowers, plants, always misguiding perception and creating doubt.
The paper I use for my drawings is a paper often used for etching.
It allows me to decline all shades of deep black to almost transparent gray.
