ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Serenity I was inspired out of the need for calmness, stillness, peaceful state of mind, just like the others in the series. From all the happenings around us today, more than ever we need to let love lead amongst us. Our every actions or inactions should be based on love for ourselves and those around us. Without love there is no serenity, lets not let skin or eyes colour decide how we relate to one another. Ultimately we must learn to love those around us. For where there is love, there is calm, peace, there is serenity. I hope that whoever sees this piece would feel peaceful and with it radiate love all around. I decided to use charcoal and graphite as the medium because I'm a big fan of black and white photography and i want all my drawings to look as such.

I am a self-taught Hyper Realism Artist". I started drawing when I was as little as 6 and it has been a moving train ever since. I like to draw emotions. I see myself as "an observer and a listener, so I make careful observations in my environment, I do alot of thinking before I come out with am idea based on emotions (just like my first series "Serenity"). I work with charcoal and graphite pencils so I am able to create drawings that take the semblance of real human figures (hyper realism - just like the hyper realism guru, Kelvin Okafor), as inspired by my love for black and white photography. I currently live and work in Nigeria.
