This is a charcoal drawing making a commentary on breast cancer. A defining feature on a woman, as many could argue, are her breasts. A defining feature of the New York Skyline, pre-9/11, were the Twin Towers. Just as the New York City skyline is not recognizable without the Twin Towers, a woman may feel unrecognizable as a women if she loses her breasts to breast cancer. But, as we have seen, New York City has survived, and is thriving. Similarly, women who go through breast cancer, can survive, they should hold their heads high; they should not be defeated.

I am a young aspiring artist. I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and Psychology. A lot of my work deals with psychological issues, or depictions of my personal perceptions of them. Some come from direct personal experience, other by second hand experiences with such illnesses. It is my hope that my work will get others to think, expand minds, and encourage others to express their life's experiences in their art as well. I hope my art can be a great addition to your collection!
