About The Artwork

"Tears of Horus" is inspired by egyptian mythology. The god of the sky, Horus, is crying tears that brings and sprouts life. The Horus eye is a symbol that represents the human hypothalamus, the part of the brain that, according to the acient writings, houses the human soul. Why is he crying? Is it because of desertification that once again will destroy a human civilization? Is he crying for us, mankind, his children? The interpretation is up to you.

My name is Kevin Wolf and I work in Germany. I create art that tells storys about transitions. The small veil between reality and fantasy, night and day, male and female or creativity and madness. I combine opposites and divide established systems. I am a self-taught artist and musician and work with digital tools and traditional colors and techniques. My inspiration comes from german expressionism, dark fantasy, science fiction and most of all nature. Most of my work grows along natual occuring lines and patterns.
