About The Artwork

"And as the sky fell, not a soul on Earth bore witness to their own mortality." Flecks of blue bled through from the backside by accident, giving it a sky and the inspiration for the title as it would take millions years for life to yet again gaze at the stars. Another of my newly dubbed "Final Chapters" line, highlighting the man-made, extraterrestrial, and psychosomatic threats to our fragile existence. One of two pieces I present at the Mobile Museum of Arts "Southern Masters" show alongside Bruce Larsen, Nall Hollis, and Casey Downing. Paper is the same reclaimed end-roll I used for the past 3 years, which is finally coming to an end. The ink is, for all intents and purposes, terrible but reacts very well to the thinners I used. Gives me the texture I've been looking for.
