The Library Drawing

Rania Varvaki (Kalliopi-Ourania Varvaki) was born in Athens, Greece, in 1962. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts under the professors Dimitris Mytaras, Triantafyllos Patraskidis and Nikos Kessanlis. Since 1978 she worked professionally as illustrator covering a broad range of publishing needs in magazines, newspapers, brochures and more than 150 books. Throughout her career she dedicated herself almost entirely to children's literature. By her pure technique she was able to gain the children's affection. So far, she’s illustrated more than 60 children's books. In 2003 she was awarded by The Circle of the Greek Children's Book.
