About The Artwork

Inspired by the emerald green mountains of southern Osaka during the summer of 2010. This work came together in an aha moment of of calm clarity: place of birth, surrounding mountains, screaming cicada, rice fields, family, friends, art, love, livelihood... Written in 隷書 (reisho) clerical script with deep black ink on handmade paper. The lines are carefully crafted maintaining both a bold solid base structure, while incorporating moments of unpredictability with speed and free flowing white space. A boy wandering alone through a green wonderland in awe of life's miracles. * Great condition. Slight signs of aging as to be expected for a work from 2010 * Wet-mounted on board with cloth trim and matting, wooden frame with acrylic cover * Piece comes professionally framed inside a padded box * Proof of authenticity will be included with the shipment
