I love sketching on Strathmore paper. It must be one of the best types of paper for graphic sketches. The drawing is framed now: 13"x16" Double matting and museum glass. Ready to hang! When I was walking in the park of the Chenanceau Castle once, I got so impressed by the beautiful evening sky. It was in the end of May, when the sunsets are particularly tender and rich for colours. So I couldn't help making a drawing of this cloud. It gave me a sensation of magic as it looked like as if illuminated from inside!

I'm best know for working with soft pastels and watercolours. I love sketching and sometimes I cannot help leaving my new paintings in a "rough sketch" phase. Because I think that the greater admiration of the nature lies in the first impression. In my childhood I used to spend a lot of time in Crimea, Feodosia. So now when I live in Moscow I miss the sea every day. And I love drawing it more than anything else! Being rather a graphic artist, I still love working with watercolours and sometimes oil paintings. Some of my works are in private collections in Russia, Spain and Norway. I sign my original artworks with "LA" or "LilleAnja". It's the nickname connected to my dear Oslo city and my Norwegian friends.
