Since 2008 2 Easy Fashion is an international duet of artists who are living and enjoying their work in Erfurt, Germany and Vilnius, Lithuania. Also known for their pencil throwing technic drawings. 2 Easy Fashion is a double unit keen on lightness. It is almost a medical advice: the most important is to do not overwork. Easy creation does not solve any transcendental issues or complex problems, but (if we want so) it can raise them by its mere existance. Lets admit it, there is nothing harder than to relax; in order to do so yoga, medication and breathing exercises are necessary. For the majority of you relaxation is a huge problem that can be solved only by throwing a pencil on a sheet of paper. 2 Easy Fashion is not irony; it is a sincere process carried out in a relaxed manner by mixing life together with pleasure and creative process together with fooling around. A body of an artist is used only because it is simple; there is probably nothing harder than autobiographical confession. But at the same time it is always easier to show in oneself what could happen if an artist shall appear one day without combing their hair. 2 Easy Fashion aesthetics is so light that it is practically absent; calm joy is not contained in any complex visual narrative. It is allowed to just be by performing its (principle) function without jumping away from the creative pathos. This lightness that 2 Easy Fashion is interested in is not an esoteric category (a transparent soul), but rather a shape of simpleness and a method applied to both the spectator and the creation of things. If all these aspects sound like an introduction to a commercial, it only proves how difficult it is to right about simpleness. Usually, we have no words for it, sometimes even in a language. In trying to articulate what could successfully become intuited, but not fully translatable easyness, we can violate ten laws of language and forget that work of 2 Easy Fashion is really methodical, but not delayed. We tend to surrender against jokes, either to understand them or not. Similar magnetism is created somewhere in the creation of Two where a girl’s back in a cafeteria, a painting’s stroke or a giggle of a collage requires to do not think about them in an ordinary manner which allows finding connection between reasons, consequences, figures and meanings, moreover usually extremely strained when doing so. But it is not worth being nervous about it.
