About The Artwork

Theobroma is a variety of cocoa trees. From Greek, it means food of the gods. Cocoa is native to the Amazon rainforest. But since the great geographical discoveries, cocoa and coffee have sort of swapped habitats: cocoa is most intensively cultivated in subequatorial Africa, while the main producers of coffee are in Latin America. Africa produces most of the world's cocoa beans. Cultivation of cocoa trees is very hard and low-paying work. This drawing reminds me of how art is unwavering. It continues to be art, even if it is created with non-artistic materials or on wrapping paper, for example. A collage of small sheets of recycled paper with a graphite drawing on designer textured cardboard. 48,5x44 cm / ≈ 19,1x17,3 inch (unframed) This artwork is sold unframed. There is an author's monogram on the front and a signature and description on the back. A certificate of authenticity is enclosed.

The structure of the human psyche is the main focus of my artistic activity. I’m interested in the inner states and processes of the personality and what it is on the scale of the universe. That’s why, I directly or indirectly create portraits of states of mind and soul. Ever since I can remember, I've always had the tools to draw in my hands and it’s a fundamentally important one. I used to design interiors professionally, but after getting my specialist degree (BA/MA equivalent) I gave it up because I wanted to create whatever I liked. As a result, interior decor details, different designs are mixed in my artworks with the love of illustration. My passion for painting and a natural ability for graphics are fused and created a personal style. So I've been drawing and painting for many years now and have no intention of stopping. And as my creative mind extends into all areas of life, I certainly know it's going to be something very interesting in my art in the future. Welcome!
