About The Artwork

From my series 'Book of the Undead'. Playing with Ancient Egyptian images and hieroglyphics to make a modern interpretation of pictorial writing. In this example I was inspired by shrine panels depicting Ankhesenamun handing an arrow to Tutankhamun, which I interpret as impotence. The central Eye of Horus symbol is decorated with an internal maze, representing the path of life. A 'lucky' eight ball floats in the sky as the sun. The pharaoh is seated on a red Swastika, a symbol of the manifestation of God.
