About The Artwork

This drawing series is a journey into the Nigeria cultural landscape. Exploring the strength which is also the uniqueness of each of her Major tribe which is what forms the title “WaZoBia” The term WaZoBia means “come” in the three major tribe which are the Yorubas, Hausas and Igbos. The terms WaZoBia has gain so much root that one of Nigeria currency is called WaZoBia which is the 50 naira note. This is the first drawing of this series which is about the Yorubas. The Yoruba are known for their deep craving for knowledge and power among other things. That’s we they are.
