About The Artwork
We Merge... no1-3, is a series of three drawings were created over the year , 2022. the drawings are the labour of rubbing three different grades of graphite into the paper to create mirror sheen, then covering the white paper with Channel Black powder. Each drawing takes about min. of 4 hours. This series was a direct impact to the world coming out of the pandemic scare and sub-sequential lock down. For me the idea of coming back and interacting with people and what that impact would be. These three drawings are the jumping off point for the next series... We Merge into a Rose Window of Noise, a body of work of 5 drawings and a few sculptures.

I am an Indo-Trinidadian working in a practice which encompasses sculpture, outdoor installation, drawing and photography. My works use mixed materials to elicit work that speaks to surreal states of being.
