Designed, sketched and burned onto a top-quality, 7mm smooth, slatted birch ply – many hours of loving work. Featuring a wild mountain wolf at the edge of a rocky ledge, howling his wild call over a mountain valley and under the radiant glow of an autumn full moon. There are many layers of burn-details to discover from heavy, thick timber to delicate grassland; plush warm fur and a smokey mountain sky. The art is mounted onto two birch brackets and there is a sawtooth metal picture hanger attached - ready for hanging. Birch ply is the professional choice for detailed pyrography landscapes. It sands down to a beautiful finish with a soft grain, enabling many depths of burn for realistic, warm texture. These depths can be felt, seen and if pressed close to the face, very faintly smelled - making this a multi-sensory art form. Many of my art pieces are set against a mountain backdrop as the mountain 'call' is strong and, for me, they evoke a sense of liberation, mystery, longing and immortality, which can equally compliment or contrast what appears in the forefront beautifully. Item Dimensions: Height: 30 Centimetres; Width: 40 Centimetres with 5mm gaps between slats and a 12mm depth (including hanging brackets.) Actual art wood depth is 7mm.

Hello. I'm Sarah and I am a pyrography and fabric collage artist, living in Staffordshire, England. Pyrography is very special to me. It's a unique, creative journey from concept through sourcing of material to sketching and burning, with no room for error at that final stage! And yet, a clear vision, steady hand and lots of time and patience are richly rewarded in a unique, warm, fresh and original piece of art. For the collector, a pyrography art piece is a multi-sensory feast of depth, texture and detail that will mature beautifully and last a lifetime. Additionally, I design and create fabric collage wall art, using a variety of natural and man-made fabrics and embellishments. In both art forms, I strive to use as many reclaimed and recycled materials as possible, which I hope adds a richness and authenticity to my work. When I'm not doing my art, I'm thinking about it. It's a natural vocation and a true privilege, that I feel most passionate about, and I hope that that conveys into every piece that I produce.
