About The Artwork
The marble itself inspired my work. A section of found marble with a beautiful pink tinge. I followed the fissures in the marble to discoverimages as one does when looking in the fire or at the clouds. My mind teased the shapes into the faces and figures of people and of animals. The result has some of the qualities of the ancient cave paintings.
