Young Satyr Drawing

Male human figure inspired this work: young, with natural sinuous movement. I desire his viewers to be captured by his serpentine movement, transported to Grecian mythology of the lustful, drunken woodland gods: The Satyrs. Charcoal provides a fluidity I find captivates caricature, exaggeration and larger than life expression. As a woman subjected to male dominance, I feel a sense of unveiling my perpetrators through this medium and subject matter. Perhaps his light hearted sense of subject matter will bring to you a bit of joy.
