New York City inspired this work- the fight for fashion and it's victims. I want the viewer to feel a certain reckless excitement and a tingle as they observe the playfulness of the piece. I presently have no studio to work in so I came up with a way to create this art in my apartment with minimum mess and clean up by gluing my drawings to the canvas then adding an image over. I was going over and packing my drawings into boxes - I have not seen these drawings since hurricane Sandy in New York and all my drawing were submerged in brackish water as they were strored in the basement which was flooded from the hurricane. it took years for them to completely dry out. I thought the drawings still look good so I came up with a way to show the work as background. I added the foreground image and split it in half to show or represent a kind of splitting of things as we know them. Politically tis the battle of left and right.
