I use a drawing technique based on natural pigments from leaves, flowers and bark. I intend to create with my work a reflection on the current society, addressing some of the contemporary problems: a world hyperconnected to social networks, but with deep solitude and distance from the planet and its mysteries; I intend to suggest that life is simpler and happens outside the screens of mobile phones; We live surrounded by the natural wonders of the world, we have to learn to see the mystery that exists in everything that surrounds us, here it is as present and invisible as the air, it is only about turning off the phone, looking up, observing the visible and the invisible, feel the elements of nature, appreciate the richness of the fauna and flora of our planet. In my work there is a crossing with the eyes of the animals, a memory of our same condition and equality. In short, I intend to show that the consumer society, its selfies and its flashes numb us, while life goes by, wasting this unique moment and leaving nature to the ravages of our "progress".

Colombia
I was born in Zipaquirá in 1978 (Colombia), the city where the salt cathedral is located. I live in Bogota. I have a double life as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, by day I am an office worker and by night I am a painter. I studied painting and art in extension courses at the Javeriana and National University of Colombia. My artistic processes are slow, I transform matter like alchemy, step by step, brushstroke by brushstroke until I create a world. In my work I seek a reflection on today's society, addressing some of the contemporary problems: a world hyperconnected to social networks, but with deep loneliness. In my work there is an intersection with the gaze of animals, a call to remember our same condition of equality, respect and care towards them. I was influenced by Native American art, the fantastic realism of the Peruvian painter Armando Villegas, the abstraction and constructive universalism of the Uruguayan artist Joaquín Torres García. Color, textures and fantastic beings make up the worlds that inhabit my painting.
