The Self Taught Artist Drawing

What/who inspired the work? I am a story teller at heart and most of my works tell a story. This one a self discovery work. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? their own value and creativity. Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? I started art as a tot and have had a talent and love of it all my life. Plus, I love my puppies from my first to my last. This show what will probably be my last best friend. I was every creative in my teen years and start my first oil painting. So, it has a teen girl in it. Also, the media used is from the first time as a tot of about two I tried to make some art (on the wall if I remember correctly). And yes, Mother was mad. The Self Taught Artist The greatest artist in the world is God, To whom no one can compare and daily I applaud, Streaking sunsets so warm, Painting rainbows in the air inspires my art form. I brush the green meadows, Blot in the blue of the sky as you hear the wind echos, Splash in daffodils beneath your feet, And all I can hope is that you see his smile in my copycat painted sheet, Paintings of the wonders God has made, There is none that can compare to what he has handmade, As the smile He paints upon your face, As I see your inspired heart in my painted trace, For you know that a Self Taught artist can only be made by our Lord, And their muse of hues given from him can't be ignored.
